Physiotherapy means physiotherapeutic system of medicine which includes examination, treatment, advice and instructions to any person preparatory to or for the purpose of or in connection with movement dysfunction, bodily malfunction, physical disorder, disability, healing and pain from trauma and disease, physical and mental conditions using physical agents including exercises, mobilization, manipulation, mechanical and electrotherapy, activities and devices or diagnosis, treatment and prevention.

Physiotherapy practitioners are targeted to work with disabled due to -
  • Illness
  • Accident.
  • Congenital abnormalities
  • Sports injuries

  Graduates will be able to evaluate and manage -
  • Neuromuscular disorder
  • Musculoskeletal disorder
  • Abnormalities of Sensory-motor functions
  • Impaired Cardiovascular and Respiratory functions.

Physiotherapy practitioner will be In-charge of a Physiotherapy clinic/Fitness centre.  Act as a Jr/Sr. Consultant Physiotherapist

Admission Requirement
The applicant must have passed the S.S.C. and H.S.C or the examination of equal status in science group with Biology, Physics and Chemistry without any grace mark or improvement and have to secure together the grade point 7 (seven). The candidate must have minimum grade point 3 (three) separately.
BSc in Nursing (4 Years) Graduates are targeted to -
  • Demonstrate to have knowledge in nursing science focusing on nursing process, Holistic nursing care
  • Make clinical nursing judgment in common, simple & complex health problems/situations of nursing Clients
  • Nursing leadership & management
  • Research and evidence based care
  • Provide Client-centered quality nursing care
  • Thinking critically and committing to self-directed learning
  • Communicate effectively with nursing clients, nursing members, physicians, and other health care providers
  • Have positive attitudes towards clients’ society and professional nursing

Admission Requirements:
The applicant must be passed SSC & HSC Examinations or equivalent with Science group with biology. The Applicants must have cumulative GPA (both SSC & HSC) total 6.0 but not less than GPA 2.5 in either SSC or HSC examinations. The candidates should apply within three (3) years after passing HSC Examination and special affidavit for age certificate will not be accepted. Student will be selected on the basis of merit. Successful candidates must undergo medical fitness check up before admission.
Post Basic BSc in Nursing (2 Years) program:
This programs is for those who have Diploma in Nursing Science and want to progress their career into BSc level.

Admission Requirement:
The applicant must have passed Diploma in Nursing and Diploma in Midwifery or equivalent. The applicant must appear at the written test which will be based on Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English; Students will be selected on the basis of merit.
BSc in Health Technology (Laboratory) Graduates are targeted to:
  • Perform Laboratory analyses
  • Evaluate and correlate test results
  • Monitor quality assurance
  • Troubleshooting
  • In-charge of Diagnosis Centre
  • Communicate with health care team
  • Research and Development
  • Management & Consultation
  • Continued Education

Admission Requirement:
Candidates passing S.S.C. (Sc) with Biology and H.S.C (Sc) or equivalent examinations with Biology having at least combined G.P.A. Score – 6.0 in S.S.C. plus H.S.C. exams will be considered eligible for admission into BSc in Health Technology (Laboratory) course. Candidates must have got minimum GPA 2.5 in each examination separately. Candidates passing the three years’ Diploma course under the ‘State Medical Faculty of Bangladesh’ or from abroad will also be eligible for admission into the BSc course in their relevant fields i.e. Diploma in Laboratory into BSc in Health Technology (Laboratory). Candidates for admission into BSc in Health Technology (Laboratory) will be selected absolutely on merit basis.
BSc in Health Technology (Dental) Graduates are targeted to:
  • To perform clinical activities with Dental Surgeon
  • To support Diploma holder Technologist
  • To perform Dental Laboratory activities
  • Research & Development
  • Continued education.
  • In-charge of Dental Laboratory

Admission Requirement:
Candidates passing S.S.C. (Sc) with Biology and H.S.C (Sc) or equivalent examinations with Biology having at least combined G.P.A. Score – 6.0 in S.S.C. plus H.S.C. exams will be considered eligible for admission into BSc in Health Technology (Dental) course. Candidates must have got minimum GPA 2.5 in each examination separately.
